Right now, the hockey community is mourning another tragic passing, as an announcement revealed that Mammoth Chief Communications Officer Caroline Klein has passed at the age of 40-years-old.
The Utah Mammoth ended up confirming the passing of Caroline Klein in an announcement, revealing she passed from cancer.
Utah lost a legend yesterday in the passing of Caroline Klein. She was truly one of a kind, [Ashley, my wife] and I and the rest of the SEG team will miss her every single day.
Not long after, the NHL ended up issuing their own statement, showing sympathy for her family she is leaving behind.
The National Hockey League family is deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague, Caroline Klein. Caroline's effervescence and her tireless work to establish the Utah franchise were marvels in themselves, but all the more remarkable given the valiant fight she was waging with cancer.
Our time working together, like Caroline's life, was too short. But we and everyone fortunate enough to have met her are endlessly richer for the experience. We send our condolences to her family, the Utah Mammoth and Jazz organizations and her many friends throughout the sports world.
The hockey community lost a good person
She played a big part in helping the Utah Mammoth get to where they are now, and even helped develop their streaming platform called SEG+.
This is a tragic loss, not only for the hockey community, but also her family, friends and everyone else who was close to her.
