The Toronto Maple Leafs were dealt another tough injury Monday night against the New York Islanders.
The Leaf's defense is already without Jake Muzzin and TJ Brodie, and now, it appears as though they've lost Morgan Reilly for the foreseeable future. Reilly left the game after an awkward collision with Islanders forward Kyle Palmieri (see below):
And Tuesday morning, the Leafs confirmed the worst and placed Reilly on LTIR. As per TSN's Darren Dreger:
''Rumblings of a grade 1 or 2 MCL injury for Rielly which would align with LTIR and a 4-6 week recovery.''
This means Rielly will be out for at least 10 games or 24 days, but it sounds like it could be much longer. Toronto now has this as their top-six defense:
