When all the injuries were revealed regarding the Boston Bruins, it's surprising they even made it as far as they did.
Of course the scariest one was when Zdeno Chara got a puck deflected into his face and broke his jaw.
The Bruins' captain revealed to the media that he played through multiple fractures in his jaw and would need six weeks to make a recovery for that injury.
Boston Bruins general manager Don Sweeney revealed that wasn't the only injury Chara had been dealing with.
In addition to a fractured jaw and lower-body injury, Chara will also have surgery on his elbow to clean up loose fragments. The 42-year-old was a real warrior playing through several injuries and fortunately none are expected to impact the start of next season.
