The Boston Bruins are set for a four-game Western road trip that begins in Seattle on Thursday night.
And prior to their matchup, the Kraken have recalled a former Bruins prospect who's looking for his first NHL action of the season.
The Kraken filled an empty roster spot Wednesday by recalling forward Jesper Froden from American Hockey League affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds.
Froden, 28, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Sweden by Boston in June of 2021. He appeared in his first seven NHL games with the Bruins last season, scoring his first career goal.
He also collected 16 goals and 18 assists in 49 game for the Providence Bruins.
The Swede signed a one-year deal with the Kraken this past offseason and has enjoyed success in the AHL, recording 25 goals and 22 assists for in 44 games.
