It seems like there's more video of Jordan Binnington doing something dumb than actual hockey plays.
And that continued Saturday night when the St. Louis Blues were visiting the Pittsburgh Penguins. When Penguins
Jason Zucker was circling the net, Binnington hits him in the face with his glove for no reason.
Then, after being pulled for giving up four goals on 17 shots, Binnington started running his mouth to the Penguins' bench. It was later revealed that he was given a ten-minute major for words clearly directed at Jason Zucker.
Post-game, Blues head coach Craig Berube called out his goaltender:
''It's got to stop. It doesn't help anything. Just play goal. Stop the puck.''
Berube has every right to be upset with Binnington this season. In 19 games, he carries a 9-10-0 record, a 3.27 GAA and a .895 SV%.
There comes a point when Binnington just needs to be taught a lesson by a player not scared about receiving supplementary discipline. Milan Lucic, perhaps?
