Some NHL owners are quiet and not as involved as some. Some owners are just happy to see their team make playoffs so they get that extra revenue.
However, that's absolutely not the case for Dallas Stars' owner Tom Gallardi who didn't hold back his disappointment with two of his longest serving players.
Tyler Seguin and
Jamie Benn had 49 and 46 points respectively last season, which is a drop off from what fans are used to from their past seasons.
Seguin has five more years left on his contract that has an AAV of $9.85 million, while Benn has three more years at $9.5 million.
So does the owner have a right to throw shade at two of his star players?
