Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman issued an interesting statement: "I'm excited for a fresh start"

After having a rough season last year, the Boston Bruins were pretty confident entering the new year.
The Bruins ended up finishing with the fifth-worst record in the NHL last season, but had belief entering the new year that they were going to be a playoff team once again.
Currently, the Bruins are one of the better teams in the NHL after starting the year 3-0, and forward Pavel Zacha believes the Bruins can continue to improve over the year.
«There's a lot to build on,» Zacha said, via NHL.com. «I'm excited for that.»
Entering the season, the Boston Bruins had a chip on their shoulder, and are acting on it by winning games.
Swayman excited for a fresh start
Jeremy Swayman stated that he was excited for a fresh start this year, and that he was locked in after going through an actual training camp this year.
«I think we've been building since Day 1 of training camp,» Swayman said. «Really excited about, obviously having (head coach Marco Sturm), but excited for just a fresh start. That's something we need to prove every day. It's been really fun to be a part of it.»
Sturm is not getting ahead of himself, even though the Boston Bruins are off to a hot start this year.
«I don't look that far,» Sturm said. «I go game by game pretty much, but I didn't know what really to expect either, to be honest. We had a decent preseason, but I knew we still had work to do, but these guys came out really on fire in Washington (a 3-1 win on Wednesday) and that kind of carried over right away.
«Now, slowly, they know what we worked on, what I want, and all that kind of stuff, we kind of came together. Yes, we're 3-0, but I just go game by game. Definitely going to take those wins, and go from there.»

The Bruins are currently down 2-0 to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
