Without a doubt, Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson is the best RFA still remaining without a contract for next season.
In his sophomore year, he recorded 41 goals and 38 assists for 79 points, and the 23-year-old is currently not reporting to the Stars training camp without a deal done.
Unfortunately, the Dallas Stars haven't been willing to meet his demands. So much so that Stars owner Tom Gaglardi openly bashed the young phenom for his ask of around $7 million per season earlier this summer.
Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic and TSN reported today that both parties are in constant contact, but are not close to a deal. Now word has surfaced that the Buffalo Sabres are aggressively pursuing a potential trade for Robertson.
''According to sources, the #Sabres have serious interest in acquiring RFA F Jason Robertson from the Dallas Stars''
Will we see another blockbuster trade before the season starts?
