As reported by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman on his «32 Thoughts» podcast, the Boston Bruins have two early candidates for their head coaching job.
Even though it's still early in the process, the two candidates right now are David Quinn and Jay Leach.
David Quinn is currently the head coach of the United States men's national hockey team. He is the former head coach of the New York Rangers, where he had a record of 96-87-25 in three seasons with the club.
Quinn also coached at Boston University for five years, helping the Terriers to the National Title in 2009.
Jay Leach is currently the assistant coach with the Seattle Kraken. He was first an assistant coach with the Providence Bruins on August 4th, 2016, and was promoted to head coach prior to the 2017–18 season.
Leach also played for the Providence and Boston Bruins in his professional playing career.
