It has been an up-and-down summer for veteran defenseman PK Subban and his agent.
It was first reported last March that the New Jersey Devils had decided they no longer felt Subban was a fit, and that was followed by him not being dealt at the trade deadline.
As 2022 Free Agency opened, Subban had hopes of quickly finding himself a new team, but that didn't pan out either. Now it appears that if no new offers have rolled in that, Subban could be considering retirement from the NHL.
It's a well-known fact that the veteran's charisma has led him to multiple television jobs. Subban already has a contract to transition into broadcasting in his post-hockey career, but no one thought that would come so soon.
However, with no contracts to choose from, according to Jim Parsons, Subban may pursue opportunities outside of hockey.
