A recent report had the Boston Bruins owning the worst prospect pool out of all 32 NHL teams.
To be fair, the Bruins have been a steady contender for quite a while now, so giving up draft picks is a must to stay in that window. However, since Don Sweeney took over as general manager, there is not a lot of draft picks to be excited about (i.e. The 2015 first round).
As @bruinsinsight has reported, the Bruins may have found a gem in the 2022 Draft:
Defenseman Frederic Brunet was drafted in the fifth round (132nd overall) by the Bruins from the Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL. The 18-year-old had 12 goals and 34 assists in 63 games this past season. The 2022-23 season has started even better for the defenseman, who's recorded 3 goals and 15 assists through 19 games, and is second in defensive scoring in the QMJHL.
