Tragic news strikes the city of Boston following announcement
A tragedy struck the Boston Police in Jamaica Plain, as an officer was investigating a stolen car report.
The officer would be struck during the investigation at Forest Hills MBTA as both the officer and suspect were injured during the confrontation.
The officer was listed in "stable" condition, while the suspect was in "critical" condition afterward.
We are praying for the injured Boston Police Officer and his family. Additionally, it should never be acceptable to assault a police officer. An assault on a police officer or first responder must always be prosecuted!
«We wish all those involved a speedy recovery,» said police Commissioner Michael Cox, «and anyone with information should call us.»
Cox said as police approached the vehicle, «the suspect operating the motor vehicle struck the officer.» That's when the officer «discharged his weapon, striking the operator of the motor vehicle.»
