A recent announcement has confirmed that the Florida Panthers are going through a major shakeup in management as multiple people have left the organization including a former Bruins fan favourite.

The Florida Panthers announced today that the teams president and CEO, Matthew Caldwell is officially leaving the team for good.
Caldwell has been credited for playing a major role in the Florida Panthers success recently.
But now it seems like he is flipping the page, as the team officially announced that he will be parting ways with the organization to join the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association.
A statement was made by the Panthers owner, Vincent Viola:
"Since joining the Panthers in 2014, Matt has led by example, serving our employees, clients, fans and the South Florida community with passion and professionalism. His determination drove our franchise turnaround and helped instill a culture of excellence, and now he is ready for his next challenge. There are very few opportunities I would advise him to pursue, but working with Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore on a global platform like the NBA is at the top of that list," said Viola. "It's tremendously bittersweet for our family, but we recognize this is an exceptional opportunity and great next step in his career. Matt's impact on our organization has been immeasurable and he leaves with our respect and gratitude."

Shawn Thornton also parts ways with the Florida Panthers

Along with Caldwell, a former Boston Bruins fan favourite has also parted ways with the Florida Panthers.
In an announcement today as well, it was also revealed that former Boston Bruins fan favourite Shawn Thornton has also left the organization.
Matt Caldwell has left the Panthers (he was President & CEO) to join the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx as CEO. This comes after news that COO Bryce Hollweg & CRO Shawn Thornton have also departed the organization.
Thornton has been an executive with the Florida Panthers since 2017, but it's unclear what path he is going to go down after leaving the Panthers.
