Last season, the Boston Bruins ended up having two solid goaltenders in the American Hockey League, and he may have made a terrible decision letting one of them walk.

This off-season, the Boston Bruins re-signed the better goaltender of the two in Michael DiPietro, and ended up letting Brandon Bussi walk in free agency.
Bussi ended up signing with the Florida Panthers in the off-season, but was placed on waivers towards the beginning of the season.
Carolina ended up taking a chance on Bussi, and claimed him off waivers and it seems like it was the right move.
Bussi ended up helping the Carolina Hurricanes stay undefeated last night, picking up his first NHL win in his first NHL start.

Brandon Bussi wins his NHL debut as the #Canes improve to 3-0 to start their season.

The netminder was fantastic early on, finishing with 16 saves en route to a convincing 5-1 victory in San Jose.

Don Sweeney shouldn't have traded for Joonas Korpisalo

Last year in the off-season, Don Sweeney traded Linus Ullmark to the Senators and in return got back Joonas Korpisalo, Mark Kastelic and a first-round pick.
He may have been better off not acquiring Korpisalo, as it blocked both Bussi and DiPietro from getting a chance at the NHL.
In result, the Bruins ended up losing Bussi for free in free agency this year, and it's a slap in the face to Don Sweeney.
Bussi has been a highly regarded prospect for some time, and is now getting the chance he never got with the Boston Bruins.

Do you think letting Brandon Bussi walk in free agency was a bad move by Don Sweeney?
