A trade could be brewing between the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers involving a goaltender according to a recent report.

Throughout the off-season, the Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers were continuously linked to trade rumors.
According to reports, the Emdonton Oilers tried to acquire Jeremy Swayman from the Boston Bruins during the NHL trade deadline.
Of course, this did not happen, but then they circled back during the off-season, and once again tried to acquire him.
Edmonton was linked to all three of the Bruins goalies in Swayman, Korpisalo and DiPietro, but instead ended up trading for Utah Mammoth's goaltender Connor Ingram.

Bruins and Oilers may circle back once again?

According to Ryan Rishaug, he believes that if Skinner is struggling, the Oilers are not going to play him come game 1 of the playoffs.
If the Oilers feel like they need an upgrade in goal, they could circle back and see if the Bruins are open to trading one of Swayman and Korpisalo.
Ryan Rishaug: "They're going to let it ride here with Skinner for a little bit"; "If [he] is not capable of handling this, he won't be here, he will not be in net for game one of the playoffs"; "I think we all know that Skinner is on the clock here"- Oilers Now (10/10)
Trading one of those goaltenders would finally give Michael DiPietro a spot on the roster, who had to clear waivers to be sent back to the AHL before the beginning of the regular season.
