Trusted NHL insider revealed a failed blockbuster trade involving Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman

Boston Bruins starting net-minder, Jeremy Swayman, has been looming the rumour mill for sometime now due to his disastrous 2024/25 NHL season that ultimately concluded in the organization absent from postseason contention.

Swayman's 2024/25 campaign concluded in an underwhelming 3.11 GAA (Goals Against Average) and a .892 SV% (Save Percentage).

This took a huge toll on the overall success of the Boston Bruins as they concluded their season by dropping to the NHL basement.

However, an NHL insider recently revealed Swayman was involved in an unexpected blockbuster trade prior to the finale of the regular season.

Shockingly enough, the Edmonton Oilers intended to acquire this 26-year old goaltender after he had already signed his extension and before the end of the 2024/25 season.

Yet, Swayman remained in the Bruins lineup, proving the Boston organization denied the Oilers' interests.

Although nothing came out of the call between these two organizations, Swayman's no-movement clause only kicks in during the 2026/27 NHL season.

Which means if Boston has intent of trading off their net-minder, this offseason would be the time to do so.
