This season has been super disappointing for the Boston Bruins and Jeremy Swayman after he took over the starting role for the team. Now a Boston Bruins insider revealed that the organization may be exploring a trade involving Swayman.
During the off-season, Jeremy Swayman opted to sit out the entire summer, missing all of the Bruins training camp, and pre-season games, before signing a massive deal just two days before the regular season began, and many believed that this would hurt the relationship with him in the locker room.
Zadorov was asked if he appreciated Swayman standing up for his teammates after challenging Kuemper to a goalie fight, and his answer sent shockwaves through the NHL.
Here is Zadorov's answer:
Swayman has been terrible for the Bruins, and it seems like he is going to have to win back his teammates in the locker room. This season he has just a 3.13 GAA and a .893 SV% with a 20-25-6 record on the season.
Bruins To Explore A Trade Involving Swayman
Boston Bruins most trusted insider Jimmy Murphy has suggested that the team may look to move Jeremy Swayman before his no-move clause kicks in on July 1st.
I asked my @sickpodnhl teammate, Pierre McGuire, if the #NHLBruins should consider trading goalie Jeremy Swayman?
Thoughts?
There may not be many teams interested in taking on Jeremy Swayman especially considering the year he is having, and his contract as he is signed to a 8-year, $8.25 million deal, but if there are any takers out there, the Bruins should jump on it.
The Boston Bruins have some very talented goaltenders currently sitting in the American Hockey League, especially Michael DiPietro who is knocking on the door of the NHL, and with the team going through a re-tool, bringing him up wouldn't be the worst idea.
