NHL Insider Confirmed The Boston Bruins Will Be Replacing Joe Sacco After This Troubling Season

The Boston Bruins and Joe Sacco are rumored to be parting ways at the end of the NHL season according to Insider Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe.
The Boston Bruins have had bad luck with coaches this season. After firing Head Coach Jim Montgomery who had an 8-9-3 record they quickly hired Joe Sacco.
However, Sacco hasn't found the success Don Sweeney and the front office had hoped for.
His record hasn't fared much better at 22-24-6, with a .475 winning percentage and 7th in the Atlantic Division at the moment.
You'd think he'd be slated for termination right away? But The Boston Globe's Kevin Paul Dupont thinks it all depends on where Cam Neely and Don Sweeney land after this season, whether they keep their jobs or not.
And given how much Jeremy Jacobs seems to love the status quo, it's difficult to believe that there would be a major change at the moment.
Instead of giving Montgomery a shot to course-correct, the duo would instead fire him, and in March conduct a major sell-off and reshape the team into a new monster entirely.
Dupont believes Sacco's future with the organization in a different role hinges on whether General Manager Don Sweeney and President Cam Neely retain their positions beyond this season. They want to reward Sacco's loyalty to the organization for the last 11 years but there's no guarantee they'll be around to make that decision after a difficult season.
If that ends up being the case, the Bruins will once again have to forge a new vision, especially if Sweeney, Sacco, and Neely are gone.
Given that Sacco's loyalty was rewarded, but fans haven't as Sweeney has yet to construct a Stanley Cup-winning lineup is troubling logic.
Sweeney may have won the Four Nations Face-Off tournament as GM, but he doesn't have access to All-Stars regularly in the NHL like he constructed what could be considered an EA NHL roster in real life.
Is Sacco the next sacrificial lamb to fall?
