It was reported earlier today, that Jake DeBrusk did not travel with the Boston Bruins due to a lower-body injury.
However, according to NHL insider Frank Seravalli, we now know the full extent of the injury:
No shock given that he didn't accompany #NHLBruins out west, but I'm told Jake DeBrusk has a fractured fibula that will keep him out.
Tough blow for DeBrusk, playing the best hockey of his career.
Tough news for DeBrusk and the Bruins as the forward has registered 16 goals and 14 assists this season.
Unreal that he played most of the Winter Classic and scored two goals with a fractured fibula. Injuries as such can take from 6 weeks to 3 months, it all depends on the severity.
