Florida Panthers forward Sam Bennett is far from being an NHL enforcer.
Sure, he does play with an edge, but the man who's infamously known for not being able to do a pull-up when he was drafted is no heavyweight.
That's why, when the Florida Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning faced off this weekend, and Bennett decided to drop the gloves against defenseman
Mikhail Sergachev, many fans had to hold their breath.
At 6'3'' and 216 pounds, Sergachev is a tough customer who loves to get into tilts here and there. However, it was the 6'1'', 195-pound Bennett who had the clear advantage in the bout:
It was an entertaining fight, that's for sure. And with both Florida teams having already punched their tickets to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, it sets the table for an exciting series should they meet in the postseason!
As for Bennett, the game's commentators suggested he took on Sergachev after the blueliner hit
Claude Giroux from behind.
But it could also be the result of some bad blood between them, dating back to the last time they played eachother earlier this season.
