Throwback to October 18th, 2003, the Boston Bruins were on the road against the Los Angeles Kings, and a young Patrice Bergeron was starting his NHL career.
Nineteen years ago today, the now captain of the Bruins scored his first NHL goal in his fifth career game. His goal came against goaltender Roman Cechmanek of the Kings and was on the powerplay off a rebound from a Brian Rolston slap shot from the point.
Bergeron added two assists in that game to give him 1 goal and 3 assists on the season (and is his career). Since then, he has appeared in 1,214 games with the Bruins and has recorded 401 goals and 580 assists for a total of 981 points.
