WHL player stretchered off the ice after massive hit

The Edmonton Oil Kings and the Seattle Thunderbirds played game three of the Western Hockey League Finals (WHL) last night.
The Oil Kings scored the game winner to go up 3-1 in the series with just 4 seconds remaining, but it was overshadowed by a scary scene early in the first period.
Edmonton's Brendan Kuny was hit when he didn't see it coming from Seattle captain Tyrel Bauer, and had to be stretchered off the ice after being attended to by medical staff for an extended period of time.
Bauer was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for the hit, but on replay it almost seems as though that he didn't see the contact coming till the last second either.
Nevertheless, it was an extremely scary incident and let's hope Brendan Kuny is doing okay!
