Wes McCauley Makes another Questionable Call And Gets A Rubber Rat Thrown At Him In Game 4

Wes McCauley, known for his notable presence and calls on the ice, continued to generate attention and controversy throughout this year's playoffs. Unfortunately for him, his reputation for questionable calls only seemed to grow during the past four rounds. McCauley's officiating has come under scrutiny due to some highly questionable decisions made during the playoffs.

In tonight's game, McCauley added another incident to his controversial track record. During the second period, he allowed Mark Stone to get away with an apparent slash, only to then raise his arm and call a soft tripping penalty against Marc Staal, seemingly favoring Stone.


Following this call, a frustrated fan in attendance expressed their disappointment by throwing a rubber rat towards McCauley as a symbolic gesture of dissatisfaction.



The incident did not go unnoticed, with one observer on social media remarking, "Wes McCauley calls a trip on Marc Staal and somebody threw a plastic rat the ref's way. Not very nice."
