J.T. Miller Officially Traded In A Blockbuster Trade Following Rumours Involving The Boston Bruins
J.T. Miller was officially traded today in a blockbuster trade following multiple trade rumours involving the Boston Bruins.
Saturday night, a blockbuster trade took place that saw J.T. Miller finally get traded.
There was multiple reports that the Boston Bruins were rumoured to be interested in J.T. Miller, and Frank Seravalli even stated the Bruins were a dark horse to land Miller.
«I do believe that the Boston Bruins have kept very close tabs on the Miller situation with the Vancouver Canucks. I would term them as a team lurking in the weeds right now to try and monitor those prices. And wouldn't be surprised if this continues to linger on closer to the March 7 deadline. They're a team that could remain in the mix.»
Unfortunately though, the Bruins did not end up acquiring Miller, instead he was traded to the New York Rangers.
According to reports, Miller ended up waiving his no-trade clause for the trade that sent him to the New York Rangers tonight.
Full trade details, per @NYP_Brooksie:

1st Round Pick (Protected) According to Vince Z. Mercogliano he revealed that the Canucks were only showing interesting in Rangers defenseman Braden Schneider, but the Rangers weren't willing to give him up.
«no, so they pivot to a less proven young right-handed defenseman with a similar profile" in Mancini.
J.T. Miller is officially returning to the original team that drafted him in the first-round of the 2011 NHL Entry Level Draft with the 15th overall pick. He would spend six years with the organization before the Rangers traded him to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Vancouver Canucks are not retaining any salary in the trade for Miller according to Frank Seravalli.
#Canucks are not retaining any money on J.T. Miller's contract, which is a huge part of the puzzle for them.
