A Big Development In The Boston Bruins Trading Captain Brad Marchand Has Surfaced
If the Boston Bruins ever did make Brad Marchand available on the trade market, who would be the buyers? According to Sick Pod's Pierre McGuire, the Colorado Avalanche, and Toronto Maple Leafs could be interested.
The Boston Bruins have to consider the team's future, should their Stanley Cup window close.
While we don't know when and if this will ever happen, the Sick Podcast's Pierre McGuire and Jimmy Murphy were pondering the Bruin's moves.
The Bruins could find buyers for the Bruins Captain in the Colorado Avalanche, and ironically, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
"If I were Colorado I'd be sniffing...I just told you how good Toronto is on the left side, I'd still be sniffing"
There was speculation in the middle of December that the B's Captain, Marchand could be one forward who would be trade bait.
NHL Insider Chris Johnston listed him as the 30th potential trade target before March hits in 2025.
"The Boston captain is playing out the final year of his contract, and it's difficult to imagine the team looking to move him if it remains on a playoff trajectory," Johnston wrote. "Marchand has had a slow start to the season following a summer when he underwent multiple surgeries, but he remains a high-end winger who can contribute offensively, kill penalties and, yes, get under an opponent's skin."
This season he's played 43 games, and scored 32 points (7 G, 15 A) with a -5 rating. Before 2024-2025 he had consecutive 67-point seasons and could be an impact player on any team that would make a trade happen for him.
