A conflicting report was just made regarding Boston Bruins superstar David Pastrnak and team Czechia
The Boston Bruins fan-favourite, David Pastrnak, has been involved in some conflicting reports as of late, regarding whether or not the 28-year old will be stepping on the ice for this year's Ice Hockey World Championship, also known as IIHF World Championship.
Czech hockey fans have been buzzing as the national team gears up to defend its World Championship title on May 9.
While head coach,
Radim Rulik, reveals who is expected to attend this year's tournament and who unfortunately won't return due to injuries or surgeries, there has been some conflicting reports toward whether the Boston Bruins' Pastrnak will compete for his country.
«Some have excused themselves due to injuries or personal reasons, but there are also players who are interested,» Rulik said in an iSport.cz article.
It was originally hinted in February, that the Bruins' forward would skip this year's Worlds, yet now, Rulik suggests the superstar is rethinking his decision, as Boston will no longer be attending the playoffs.
«If they made the playoffs, he obviously wouldn't,» the Czech coach said. «At this moment and in this situation, as we spoke... I'll put it this way, he's thinking about it.»
It is evident that getting Pastrnak out there to represent his country would be more than ideal, within his season thus far, the forward has already racked up 40 goals and 57 assists, totalling at a whopping 97 points in the span of 78 games.
Pastrnak also clinched gold with a clutch goal last year, leaving many to believe his kind of skill would definitely display in Czechia's overall success.
