A Major Announcement Was Made Regarding Trent Frederic From The Boston Bruins Organization

Last year was an amazing step forward for Frederic, scoring 18 goals, 22 assists for 40 points (all career highs), but hasn't been able to bring that over into this current season.

Frederic has just eight goals, 7 assists for 15 points in 55 games, but he has still been generating a lot of trade interest.

With it being a contract year for Trent Frederic, and the Boston Bruins not being in a playoff spot, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding his name along with many other Boston Bruins players who are set to be unrestricted free agents.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman revealed earlier in the year that if the Boston Bruins and Trent Frederic don't have a contract extension in place, or aren't near one, by the NHL trade deadline, Frederic will more then likely be traded.

There are a lot of things to like about Frederic's game, he's physical, likes to throw the body, will stick up for his teammates, and can provide secondary scoring.

This is exactly what a lot of contending teams are looking for which makes him so appealing in the market.

Although there is a lot of speculation surround him this year, today the Boston Bruins social media team took some time out of their day to wish him a happy birthday, and make sure that fans knew it as well.

Frederic is definitely going to be an interesting name to keep an eye on as the NHL trade deadline approaches.
