Trusted NHL insider reveals that ex-Boston Bruins and 3x Stanley Cup Champion Pat Maroon will reunite with a former team at the NHL trade deadline.
The Bruins traded for Pat Maroon and in return they gave the Minnesota Wild
Luke Toporowski and a conditional sixth-round pick in the 2026 Draft.
Now, NHL insider Jeff Marek of The Daily Faceoff believes that Maroon could be heading back to a former team.
Marek stated that he believes that the Tampa Bay Lightning are going to show interest in bringing him back into the organization before the Stanley Cup playoffs.
I imagine Chicago's Pat Maroon will be on the move by NHL trade deadline with a few teams out there looking for toughness along with 'rings in the room'.
Maroon checks both those boxes. If you're Tampa do you consider a reunion knowing you'll probably have to go through the Florida Panthers at some point in the playoffs?
With the type of player Maroon is, there is no doubt he will be getting a lot of interest at the deadline. Physical players like him are hard to come by, and that's exactly what you need to win a Stanley Cup.
Do you think the Boston Bruins will be interested in having a reunion with the 3x Stanley Cup Champion?
