A Major Development Has Surfaced Involving Jeremy Swayman And It's Huge For The Boston Bruins
A big reason the Boston Bruins had a disappointing 2024-25 season was due to Jeremy Swayman's poor play. A recent announcement from the Boston Bruins organization revealed a new big development for the organization.
Swayman ended up holding out for all of training camp and all the preseason games because he didn't have a contract.
Two days before the NHL regular season began the Boston Bruins ended up announcing that they signed Jeremy Swayman and shocked everyone as there was speculation that he wasn't going to get a deal done until the deadline, similar to Nylander a couple years ago.
But the Bruins and Swayman came to an agreement on a massive eight-year, $8.25 million contract. In his first full year of being a starting goaltender things did not go to plan for Swayman and the Bruins.
Swayman had the worst season of his career having a record of 22-29-7 with a 3.11 goals against average, and a .892 save percentage.
Huge Development Regarding Jeremy Swayman
After the regular season came to an end, it was revealed that
Swayman was going to be playing for Team USA at the IIHF World Championships, and he has been turning heads and it could be huge for the Bruins heading into next season.
@JeremySwayman improved to 4-0 with a 1.97 GAA at the 2025 #MensWorlds with a 25-save win over Czechia on Tuesday in @usahockey's final preliminary round contest.
Bruins are hopeful that he can play like this for the Boston Bruins and help the organization make a push to make the playoffs once again.
