Playing for Team USA at the IIHF World Championship, Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman put on a show, and now a major development has surfaced.

Swayman ended up leading team USA to the gold medal game during the IIHF World Championship.
In six games Jeremy Swayman went 6-0 through the tournament, and had a .908 save percentage along with a 1.98 goals against average.
When speaking about his play during the tournament, this is what he had to say:
«I couldn't be happier to be at this tournament, especially based on the year I had,» Swayman said in Sweden, via The Hockey News. «I feel like a completely new human being and a completely new goalie. The guys in this room have been so incredible for just supporting me, and it's just been a contagious locker room of joy. I just feel like a completely new human being.»

Leading USA to the gold medal game was a big improvement for the goaltender who had a terrible regular season with the Boston Bruins going 22-29-7 with a 3.11 goals against average and a .892 save percentage during his first full season as the Bruins starting goaltender.
It marked the first time that Team USA made the gold medal game in 92 years. The last time they appeared in the gold medal game was in 1933.
