A recent announcement revealed that don Sweeney is ruining the Boston bruins organization

The 2024-25 season was a very disappoint year for the Boston Bruins, and how did they follow it up? By signing General Manager Don Sweeney to a two-year contract extension.

This came not long after Bruins president Cam Neely stated that the final year of his contract was going to be a make or break for him. Instead the Boston Bruins ended up re-signing him.

The organization ended up not listening to the fan base once again, as they made their feelings towards Don Sweeney known by consistently breaking out chants during games stating "fire Sweeney".

Now, a recent announcement revealed that Don Sweeney may be ruining the Boston Bruins organization.

The Boston Bruins are still without a head coach, and Don Sweeney has played a big role in that. Because of his history of firing elite level head coaches, Sweeney has scared away multiple head coaches.

The Bruins have already missed out on a couple solid head coaches in Mike Sullivan and Rick Tocchet, and it was because of Don Sweeney.

A source close to Tocchet had this to say when it came to taking the Bruins job:

Him firing multiple good head coaches also played a big role.

There aren't many head coaches left on the table for the Boston Bruins, but now with Sweeney signed to a contract extension, hopefully they are able to bring one in.
