Don Sweeney has been playing the "safe" card all year long, and hasn't been willing for some of the Bruins youth in the organization to get a shot in the NHL. Instead the Bruins keep dressing players that should not be in the lineup.
The Bruins are missing youth and speed in the organization but are unwilling to give fan favourites like Fabian Lysell or Georgii Merkulov a chance. When they have been giving them chances they have been stuffed into roles that will not benefit, or develop them.
Both Fabian Lysell and Georgii Merkulov have been lighting it up in the American Hockey League for the Providence Bruins.
Georgii Merkulov on the other hand has been dominating the American Hockey League. In 38 games he has been maintaing a point per-game pace with 11 goals, 27 assist for 38 points.
It's become clear that Don Sweeney's time with the Boston Bruins organization should come to an end, and the Bruins need to do something about it.
