Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco made a shocking announcement regarding goaltender Jeremy Swayman following their 4-1 loss to the Montreal Canadiens last night.
This season,
Swayman has some pretty abysmal numbers as he is currently sporting a record of 20-28-6, with a 3.12 GAA, and a .892 SV% in 54 starts for the Boston Bruins this season.
Last night that was not the case though, and Joe Sacco had some high praise for Jeremy Swayman.
Shocking Announcement Involving Jeremy Swayman
Following the game, Joe Sacco had some high praise for Jeremy Swayman, who has been terrible for the Boston Bruins all season, but you gotta give credit, where credit is due, and Swayman definitely earned that.
Sacco stated that Swayman was really solid for the Bruins and that he definitely gave them a chance to win their game especially during the second period. He added that he thinks Swayman is starting to find a bit of his groove.
#NHLBruins Joe Sacco on Jeremy Swayman, "He was solid tonight. He gave us a chance here tonight, for sure, especially in that second (period). He seems to be finding his groove a little bit better." #BOSvsMTL #NESN
Swayman gave up three goals on 32 shots last night, but the Bruins did not help him at all. He had an insane save during the second period to keep it a one-goal game, but the Bruins were not able to find any offense, especially in the second period where they had just two shots on net.
SWAYMAN ABSOLUTELY ROBS CARRIER OH MY 😵🚫
Normally goaltending has been the issue for the Bruins most of the season, but lately their offense has dried up and they find themselves in the defensive zone way more often then in the offensive zone.
