Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney has been pretty busy the past two days following the NHL draft.
Later in the night it was rumored that
Morgan Geekie was going to be signing a contract extension with the Boston Bruins as well.
Bruins make a goaltending move
Despite all the rumors surrounding one of Boston Bruins top goaltending prospects in
Michael DiPietro, they have made a surprising move with him today.
Well that isn't going to be happening, as Don Sweeney just announced that him, and two other players have re-signed with the Boston Bruins.
Jokiharju re-signed for another three-years, with a cap hit of $3 million. John Beecher also re-signed on a one-year deal with a cap hit of $900,000.
DiPietro surprisingly signed for two-years after all the speculation around him with a cap hit of $812,500.
With this move being made, it will be interesting to see if the Boston Bruins end up trading one of Swayman, or Korpisalo.
After the Boston Bruins missed out
Dante Fabbro, there aren't many other options for them on the right side, and you just felt like a deal was coming.
