According to RG Media, the Bruins and Islanders have engaged in trade talks potentially involving JG Pageau, Noah Dobson, and the 1st and 7th overall picks
To move up to 1st overall, the Bruins would reportedly have to concede the 7th overall pick and either a top six forward or top four defenseman on top of it
The Bruins goal is reportedly to move into the top five. If they are unsuccessful, they would like to use the 7th overall pick in a trade package that could get them a player for their lineup now. Two players the Bruins have expressed prior interest in are C JG Pageau (32) and RFA D Noah Dobson (25)
One source also feels that the Bruins and Islanders make a lot of sense as trade partners due to the slipping of Long Island native James Hagens in the latest draft rankings, who has fallen as low as 8 on some lists
