With a lot of question marks surrounding the Boston Bruins roster this season, they have added a player to their second power play unit that could change things for them.

During the off-season, the Boston Bruins ended up signing Matej Blumel to a one-year deal.
Blumel was the leading goal scorer in the AHL last season, and also had the most shots in the AHL.
AHL shot leaders last season

1. Matej Blumel (274)
4. Alex Steeves (220)

Both are now members of the #NHLBruins

Blumel has one so far tonight, nothing yet for Steeves. They have looked good on a line with Poitras, but would love to see these guys firing the puck more
Now, it seems like the Bruins are adding him to their power play, and he could change things for them.

Bruins need a different looking power play

A big struggle last season for the Boston Bruins was their power play.
Adding a player like Blumel, who can score goals, could change things for the Bruins this season, and give them more of a threat.
He has been practicing with the second power play line at the moment, but if he does good, there is a chance he could get promoted to the top PP unit.
Matej Blumel has consistently been on the Bruins' second power play unit at camp today.
The Bruins are hopeful that Blumel can replace Jake DeBrusk, who they dearly miss out there on the ice.
