Boston Bruins Announced A Surprising Roster Change Ahead Of Matchup Against Buffalo Sabres

As reported earlier, the Bruins received some news regarding defenseman Brandon Carlo and he is expected to be a game time decision today, but they just announced a surprising roster change.

Preparing for their matchup against the Buffalo Sabres, head coach Joe Sacco confirmed that a player will be coming out of the lineup, and a surprising player will be coming back in the lineup.

Cole Koepke, who hasn't played since January 14th when the Bruins ended up beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 6-2, will be returning to the lineup for the Boston Bruins tonight, and the Bruins will be taking out Max Jones.

It's unclear whether or not the Boston Bruins are going to send Max Jones back down to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League or not after coming out of the lineup, but in 7 games with the Boston Bruins this season he hasn't been able to register a point this year.

Cole Koepke on the other hand has been a great addition this year for the Boston Bruins while playing a limited depth role.

In 44 games this season he has recorded a new career high in goals, assists and points. This year he has 7 goals, 5 assists for 12 points while playing fourth line minutes.

Cole Koepke has finally been cleared to return to the Bruins lineup, and will do that when the Bruins faceoff against the Buffalo Sabres.
