Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy found himsel in a surprising role with team USA as the lines were just announced.
The NHL is gearing up for the Four Nations Faceoff tournament and all players participating in the tournament are currently in Montreal.
Today the lines have been revealed for Canada and USA so far and Charlie McAvoy finds himself in a surprising role.
Both Team USA and Team Canada have very stacked lineups heading into this tournament, which is going to make it interesting to see who comes out on top.
McAvoy finds himself playing a massive role with Team USA
The lines for Team USA have officially been released and we now know where Charlie McAvoy is going to slot into the lineup.
McAvoy is going to be paired up with Werenski on Team USA's second defensive pairing.

McAvoy has had a pretty down year with the Boston Bruins this season so it's surprising to see him get such an important role with Team USA.
McAvoy has been dealing with a lingering injury which could play a part in his down year, but it 50 games, he has only scored 7 goals, and 16 assists for 23 points this year.
It's unclear whether or not McAvoy is going to get some power play time with Team USA, it seems unlikely but once we know we will update you!
