Boston Bruins Confirm They Will Be Playing In An Outdoor Game Next Year
The Boston Bruins haven't been left out of the outdoor games next season. The NHL and Gary Bettman announced today that the Boston Bruins will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at Raymond James Stadium for the 2026 Stadium Series.
The Boston Bruins instead of taking on their Atlantic Division rivals, the Florida Panthers will face off against Jon Cooper's Tampa Bay Lightning.
The announcement marks the Bruins six regular season outdoor game, as the team has a record of 4-1-0 in outdoor games in the NHL.
A record that is second-best in the league. The Bruins last took on the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2023 Winter Classic at Fenway Park, with a 2-1 victory over Sidney Crosby and the team. They also took part in the NHL Outdoor games in Lake Tahoe in 2021. The Bruins have a record of outdoor appearances(2010, 2016, 2019, and 2023).
