The first off-season move the Boston Bruins are going to be making was just revealed, and it's bigger then firing General Manager Don Sweeney.

Some big changes are expected in Boston this off-season after having a very disappointing year this year, and Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa just revealed what they are going to be doing first.
Whether or not it's Don Sweeney who will be the General Manager behind the Bruins making this move or not, is yet to be known, but the Bruins are expected to pull off a risky move during the off-season.
Shinzawa stated that it's unlikely the Bruins are going to be including any of their draft picks in trade proposals due to them having a shallow prospect pool, but the organization could pull off a very unpopular move.

Bruins First Off-Season Move Revealed

According to Shinzawa, the Boston Bruins may target some restricted free agents in the off-season and send out an offer sheet.
It was even suggested by Shinzawa that the Bruins may be going after a rivals top RFA in New York Rangers Will Cuylle.
« They project to have cap space. So while they're not in a position to trade picks, it could be worth it to pluck a specific RFA away from a cap-strapped team.

«Next year, for example, Igor Shesterkin will begin earning $11.5 million annually from the New York Rangers. Would that leave GM Chris Drury with enough to match an offer sheet for Will Cuylle
The Boston Bruins may also target some players in free agency, but with how that went with Lindholm, and Zadorov last off-season, it may be the best idea to get a new General Manager before going that route.
Boston has roughly $26.2 million in cap space this off-season with 14 active roster players under contract with them.
