A Boston Bruins forward is forcing the organization to make a very tough decision from how he has been performing.

The Bruins previous game against the Flyers where they won 4-3, marked the midway point through the preseason.
On Tuesday night the Boston Bruins faced the New York Rangers, and ended up breaking up practice into two groups: Group A and Group B.
Group A was basically what the Boston Bruins opening night roster will look like (or closest to it right now). And Group B was filled with players that will more than likely be sent down to the Providence Bruins.
Jeffrey Viel was a player in Group B, but played in the game against the Flyers on Saturday and stood out once again, making a case to make the Bruins opening night roster.

Bruins have a decision to make with Viel

Viel plays a very heavy game, and is now on upper managements radar after his performance against the Flyers.
The 28-year-old is not afraid to throw his weight around and drop the gloves, and on Saturday night, he did a bit of everything.
Viel ended up scoring the game winning goal in third period for the Bruins, and finished the game with three shots on net, three hits, in just over 10 minutes of ice time.
With his performance, there is a chance that he could steal a roster spot from another player on the roster.
This could be a long shot, but this camp he has been very impressive, and there is a chance he could take a roster spot from a player like John Beecher.
Before the season opener, Sturm is going to have some tough decisions to make, but it's not a bad thing.
