Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney Completes His Last Roster Move With The Organization This Season
The Boston Bruins have officially completed their last NHL game of the year as of yesterday, April 15, and it was just revealed this afternoon that the team's general manager, Don Sweeney, has completed his last roster move of the season.
This afternoon, Wednesday, April 16, the Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, announced an unexpected roster transaction involving five Boston players, four forwards and one defenseman.
«The team has assigned forwards John Farinacci, Vinni Lettieri, Fabian Lysell and Fraser Minten and defenseman Frederic Brunet to Providence; placed defenseman
Ian Mitchell on waivers for purpose of assignment to Providence.»
Although there is no confirmation as to why these transactions have struck Boston, there are speculations that these send-downs have taken place due to the Providence Bruins' regular season ending in just two games.
The Providence Bruins have luckily locked in their postseason contention, unlike the Boston Bruins, and will be fighting for the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs after their regular season is completed.
This being said, the team is seemingly in preparation for the upcoming playoffs and are taking all means necessary to have a successful run.
Do you think the Boston Bruins will call these player's back up once the Calder Cup Playoffs are completed?
Only time will tell, however, the Boston Bruins organization has been suggested to take some extreme moves this off-season.
