Boston Bruins Head Coach Issued An Unexpected Statement On Nikita Zadorov After He Left The Team
The Boston Bruins had to play their previous game without one of their veteran defenseman in Nikita Zadorov after he left the team, and now Joe Sacco has issued an unexpected statement regarding the defenseman.
Boston was already missing
Charlie McAvoy, and
Hampus Lindholm as they have both been out long-term with injuries.
Lindholm will not be back this year, and McAvoy is supposed to return to the Bruins lineup, it's just unclear when.
Not only on paper did they look horrible, but during the game they also did as they ended up losing 6-2 to the Anaheim Ducks.
The only information that was shared by head coach Joe Sacco, was that Nikita Zadorov had a family matter to attend too, and that he wouldn't be available for their game.
Nikita Zadorov has returned to Boston because of a family matter.
Joe Sacco Issues A Statement On Zadorov
Today, Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco issued a statement on Zadorov after he left the team.
Sacco did not get much into details about anything, but stated that it was nice to have him back on the ice with the team, and that the Bruins need him in the lineup for tomorrow.
Coach Sacco on Nikita Zadorov returning to practice today in Detroit: «It's good to have Z back with the group again. He skated today and was able to get a practice in before tomorrow. We need him back in there.»
It's still unclear what happened that caused him to have to leave the team, but hopefully everything is all good with his family, and it will definitely be nice seeing him back out there tomorrow!
