The Boston Bruins have lost six straight games, and will be looking to snap their losing streak tonight against the Anaheim Ducks, but will have to do it without Nikita Zadorov as he has left the team for unexpected reasons.

Over the past couple of years, the Bruins have been a power house, but have been lacking that this year, especially after shipping out several big named players at the NHL trade deadline.
Now the Bruins have lost another key veteran as Nikita Zadorov is stepping away from the Bruins, which is going to be a big loss.

Reason Behind Zadorov's Departure

Boston Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa revealed the reasoning behind Zadorov leaving the team today.
Shinzawa stated that he is currently taking a leave of absence due to a family matter.
It's currently unclear on why Zadorov is stepping away from the Boston Bruins, and how long he is going to be gone for, but one thing is clear, the Bruins are going to miss him for the time being.
The Bruins have just 10 games remaining and currently have a record of 30-33-9. Even with being out of the playoffs the Bruins are surely going to miss the physicality and leadership he brings every night.
Zadorov was given a massive contract in the off-season by the Boston Bruins, and he has appeared in all 72 games up until this point scoring 4 goals, having 17 points and being a plus-14.
With the absences of Charlie McAvoy and Hampus Lindholm, Zadorov has stepped up big for the Bruins, replacing him for the time being is not going to be an easy task.
