Marat Khusnutdinov steps up in Boston
Marat Khusnutdinov, 23, is a prime example of a player stepping up in a bigger role.
This forward began his 2025/26 NHL campaign on the Bruins' fourth line and was shortly after healthy scratched.
Fast forward just a few games and this talent was pushed into the team's first line, between
Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnask, a role he has unexpectedly excelled in.
And it is not going left unnoticed.

Boston Bruins' head coach, Marco Sturm, has just broke his silence regarding Khunutdinov's new position and how he is settling.
«He's been good,» Sturm stated. «He goes out there and plays hockey. He loves it. The guys like him in the room. It's also not fair, probably for me, like putting him in a tough spot, playing with a superstar like 88 [Pastrnak]. It's not easy, but he's been hanging really well, and that's why he got my trust.»
