During practice this morning, the Bruins received some bad news regarding a top trade candidate, and it appears he will be out long-term.
Ahead of their game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night, the Bruins announced that they were going to be down a couple more players.
The reason Mittelstadt did not travel with the team was because he ended up suffering an
upper-body injury.
Charlie McAvoy is home because of a personal matter. Casey Mittlestadt (upper body) did not travel.
Now, the Bruins have received some bad news regarding one of their top trade candidates.
Mittelstadt out week to week.
According to head coach Marco Sturm, he stated this morning at practice that Mittelstadt is going to be out week to week.
He did say that Mittelstadt was feeling better today than anticipated, but they listed Lindholm as day-to-day for eight games before returning.
Sturm: Casey Mittelstadt is week-to-week, but was feeling better today than anticipated.
Mittelstadt has been good for the Bruins since he got benched earlier in the year.
In 15 games with the Bruins this season,
Mittelstadt has scored 4 goals and 5 assists for 9 points.
Earlier in the off-season, Mittelstadt was surrounded by a bunch of trade rumors, and it seems like the Bruins are willing to wait and see how he does before they make a decision.
