This morning, Friday, March 28, the organization announced that a goaltender from Maine Mariners in the ECHL has been recalled to the Boston Bruins' AHL team, the Providence Bruins.
Nolan Maier has appeared in 20 games with the Mariners this season, posting a 3.17 GAA, goals against average, and a .888 save percentage.
The 6-foot, 172-pound goaltender has also appeared in 10 career AHL games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, accumulating a 6-2-2 record with a 2.66 GAA.
With the AHL's Calder Cup playoffs on the rise, and Maier's unbelievable standings as of recently, it is suggested the organization took the opportunity when they needed it most by acquiring a new and excelling goaltender.
