Boston Bruins Reportedly Taking Calls On Three Unexpected Players: Per Insider
This kind of move could reshape the entire Boston Bruins core if GM Don Sweeney is able to move any of these players.
Carlo and Coyle have been considered a part of the Bruins' core for quite some time now.
Both players were a part of the team's last Stanley Cup run in 2019 where they would lose to the St. Louis Blues.
They'd be a part of the Bruins team which won a President's Trophy in 2023-2024, along with Morgan Geekie, and
Pavel Zacha.
They all have had career years under head Coach Jim Montgomery. Fortunately enough that should give them all ample trade value come March 7th.
Coyle scored 60 points (25 G, 35 A) in 2023-2024 and could prove to be a great depth addition to an NHL contender.
While
Pavel Zacha has the flexibility to play both center and wing in the NHL, not to mention the 59 points (21 G, 38 A) he scored in 2023-2024.
Morgan Geekie is another Bruins player who punched well above his weight and scored 39 points last season. His RFA status makes him valuable to teams who could be in rebuilding mode.
And teams who need depth on their blue line, like the Toronto Maple Leafs could use someone like Brandon Carlo.
Either way, it's likely we'll see the
Bruins continue to move pieces after they traded
Trent Frederic to the Edmonton Oilers today.
The Bruins are out of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and will have to temporarily take a step back in the meantime.
