Boston Bruins set to complete a trade with the Seattle Kraken: It involves a 29-year-old forward

With that being said, the Boston Bruins should still be looking to add another player to their current roster.

They are lacking some skill up front, and have been ever since losing Jake DeBrusk.

If they actually want to be a more competitive team next season, the Bruins need to look into adding another top-six forward.

One player they could look to add is 29-year-old forward from the Seattle Kraken, Jared McCann.

The Boston Bruins have already been linked to McCann multiple times throughout the off-season, and adding him would change things for the organization.

Leading up to the NHL trade deadline, McCann was a very popular name in the rumor mill, and similar to Pavel Zacha, that has continued into the off-season.

McCann had a very good season with the Seattle Kraken, scoring 22 goals, 39 assists for 61 points and plus-8 rating in 82 games.

This made it the third consecutive season in a row that he has hit the 60 point mark, so it's safe to say that he would make a big impact on the Bruins top-six.

Another thing that makes McCann so appealing to the Boston Bruins, is the fact that he can play both the wing and down the middle.

The Bruins are in need of some center depth, and he could help them out there as well if they were to acquire him.

His contract is pretty reasonable, especially considering the offensive numbers he puts up, and the cap hit going up. Right now he is making $5 million for the next two years.
