Completed trade between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers: Players were stressed out

Florida Panthers players had a similar reaction as their fans did whenever the Boston Bruins ended up trading Brad Marchand to them.
Initially, they were very excited, but it quickly ended up changing when they started to question who was going back to Boston in return.
Whenever the trade initially happened, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman was the first insider to break the news.
But whenever he did it, he did not reveal who/what was going back to Boston in return.
The Florida Panthers players had a group chat, and they were guessing who was going back the other way.
Matthew Tkachuk ended up guessing who it was, and originally stated that it was young players Mackie Samoskevich, and Eetu Luostarinen.
They quickly realized it was false though:
«We were like, wait, we wouldn't have done (that), that seems odd,» Sam Bennett told the «Empty Netters» podcast. » (Tkachuk) was just messing with us, completely (explicit) with us He didn't know, so we were all freaking out, trying to figure it out.»
It took them over an hour to figure out that it was a 2027 conditional second-round pick that was heading back to the Boston Bruins.
Friedman ended up revealing in a recent 32 Thoughts episode that Evan Rodrigues pulled him aside after the trade was done to talk to him.
«When Florida came to Toronto after the trade deadline, Evan Rodrigues, who's a great guy, pulled me to the side and said, 'The next time you do a trade, you don't wait an hour to post what the return was,'» Friedman said.
